Love and Lust

When you tell someone you love them, do you actually mean it? How do you know that what you are feeling is actually love and not a lustful obsession?

I think that everyone just throws the word Love around without really meaning it. Once upon a time when someone would say "I love you" they meant it and sometimes would even wait for the right moment to say it. Now after a day of dating people saying it as easy and as carefree as if they were saying "hello". What amazes me the most is how easily people move on from one person to another. If you say you love someone don't you need time to heal from the pain of the love that you no longer have in your life? I must admit that I am guilty of this myself. I've loved with all my heart only to move on faster than I change underwear to the next guy. Why? Well in my case I do it because I have to distract myself from the pain that I am feeling. I suppose you can say I am rebounding to the next guy. I know I am not the only one that does this. I am sure there are many others like me that do this. But what confuses me is how fast you can "fall in love" with your rebound. Could it be that you were never really in love with your original partner in the first place?

 Wikipedia says  Love  is an emotion of strong affection and person attachment. Yes, when you love someone you become attached to them. You need them in your life to feel complete. So if you have the ability to move on to a new person then in reality you were not in love. When in love you shouldn't be able to "un-attach" yourself so quickly. But then how do you know its time to move on? How do you know when you are healed enough to say fuck it I need to start looking for another person to fill that happiness and that void that you feel in your heart. Maybe time ca't be measured the same. Everyone is different, maybe you can heal after a week, maybe a month or perhaps even years. Is there a right time?

So what do you do when you are still in love with the one that moved on only days after the break up? You can love someone with all your heart but if they can't realize it and have chosen to leave you behind then just move on.  The best thing to do to keep yourself from being hurt by people like this that say they love you today and forget you tomorrow is by being very, very careful as to who you let inside your heart. Don't shut everyone out but just don't be so quick to fall in love. Remember that just because they tell you they love you doesn't mean you have to say it back. Don't feel pressured to feel a emotion that isn't there. And if someone is being quick to say they love you just keep in mind that actions speak much louder than words. Have them show you by the actions they do everyday not just by the words that fall from their mouth.

Whyyyyy!?!?!!?

Today was a really beautiful day, sun was out and not a cloud was in sight. So I decided I wanted to go and water the plants in my front yard. I put on my shoes and then continued to go outside where I watered my plants, the trees and the grass. I checked the mail and then went inside to make a sandwich. Remembered I left my phone upstairs so there I went up the stairs (carpet stairs btw) and as I get my phone and turn the leave my room I notice brown spots trailing down the hall. The hall that I just crossed to get to my room. In panic I check the bottom of my shoe and there it was looking at me, laughing at me, enjoying the pain it has caused me. DOG FUCKING SHIT! Why?! Why the mighty fuck do people insist on walking their damn pets and not pick up after them? I have seen many of my neighbors walk their dogs and not even pick up after them. There have been times that I will go and stand outside and wait until the dog has taken their lovely shit to make sure that the person walking such said animal will pick it up. Am I being anal (no pun) about the situation? Probably. But when you just spent 3 hours scrubbing shit from your carpet after walking around the house spreading the love everywhere, yeah you can turn a bit anal about it. Cats. I thought they only pooped in a damn litter box yet lately I have found that they have taken a liking to my flower bed. No shame... Don't get me wrong, I love animals. I just hate that there shit just happens to be in my lawn.

So on behalf of all the people that have had to step on dog/cat shit I only have 1 thing to say: PICK UP YOUR PETS FUCKING SHIT BEFORE ONE DAY YOU FIND IT THROWN AT YOUR HOUSE. You know who you are. (>_<)
